THE MORNING STAR!

Rev 22:16

16 I Jesus have sent mine angel to testify unto you these things in the churches. I am the root and the offspring of David, and the bright and morning star.

           The morning star heralds the dawn. Venus will rise in the morning a few hours before the sun. It is the brightest light in the sky until the day dawns and it fades from our view. It is still there, but it has yielded to a brighter light.

           We are called upon to herald the SON. To those who will take notice, we announce His coming. Like John the Baptist, we yield to His brighter light and then fade away. Oh, we are still here but, only Christ is seen in us. John explained that “he must increase, and I must decrease!” [John 3:30]

Phil 2:14-15

14 Do all things without murmurings and disputings:

15 That ye may be blameless and harmless, the sons of God, without rebuke, in the midst of a crooked and perverse nation, among whom ye shine as lights in the world;

Dear Lord, let me shine brightly in the darkest of night that those who notice me will understand that the SON is about to rise. AMEN
