       The Rev. Ron Abbott brings to the pulpit almost five decades of pastoral experience. He has pastored churches in Kansas, Maryland, Ohio and Texas. A 1971 graduate of Baptist Bible College, Pastor Abbott is a respected leader within the Baptist Bible Fellowship. He served two terms as Chairman of the Maryland State Baptist Bible Fellowship and twice as Secretary/Treasurer for the East Texas Fellowship. He is currently the Field Representative for the BBFI  representing the South Central Region of Brazil.

       An active member of the community, Pastor Abbott has served as Chaplain of the Maryland State Police and the Chaplain of Police for the city of Vidor, Texas and Chaplain of the Sunset Police Department. He is currently the Chaplain of the Montague County Sheriff's Office. While in his Ohio ministry, Pastor Abbott was a member of the Kiwanis Club of Middletown. He formerly served as associate director with the Bowie Chamber of Commerce. His approach to ministry is pastoral with a strong emphasis on urging his flock to make Christ the Lord of their lives.

       Mrs. Irene Abbott grew up in Kansas. Her father was a deacon in the Centropolis Baptist church. She is not the only member of her family in ministry. A 1966 graduate of Baptist Bible College, Irene returned to Springfield, Missouri to work as Assistant Dean for the college. She was in charge of 108 female students until her marriage in 1968. She frequently speaks at ladies retreats and banquets and has a strong teaching and mentoring ministry with her ladies. Her brother, Rev. Irvin Middlebusher pastors the Ochletree Baptist Church in Spring Hill, Kansas.  Their daughter, Becky, is married to Daniel Garcia. They have two daughters, Rachel and Hannah.
