Prov 30:5

5 Every word of God is pure: he is a shield unto them that put their trust in him.

 

          Three verses! All are identical in concept, and all are needed in these confusing days. When arguments fail to convince then a personal investigation is required but to the person who tests and tastes, they find that God is trustworthy.

 

          One thing can be known for sure in these days of uncertainty and that is that nothing can be known for sure. Misinformation is the most popular form of information. Ignorance is heavily employed in the business of news and views. Cynicism is the result when one is searching for truth and when it is found, truth is often distrusted.

 

          When church and its God look more like a business or a social club instead of a refuge for the soul, the pews are abandoned by those who are most needy. Gimmicks and games may entice a few, but the weary may lose hope. Genuine caring and sincere remedies are needed for self-inflicted wounds. Our world needs more than religious snake oil. Well, friend, three times the Bible invites you to simply check it out and yet a fourth I now offer.

 

Ps 34:8

8 O taste and see that the LORD is good: blessed is the man that trusteth in him.

 

Dear Lord, the unsatisfied are the unconvinced. Let them come and taste of Thee. They will find Thee good. AMEN
