THE FLOWERS OF MAY!

2:11-12
11 For, lo,
the winter is past, the rain is over and gone;
12 The flowers
appear on the earth; the time of the singing of birds is come, and the
voice of the turtle [dove] is heard in our land;
Solomon
enjoyed the seasonal changes in Israel. We, too, can observe an awakening in our
situation. Today marks the reopening of doors closed because of fear. Our
world, right on time, will bloom once again.
We
may still have a few chilly mornings, and it may take some time before the fear that has gripped
us will be completely gone, but the blooming time will not be denied. God has
not abandoned His rule over all, and we must not surrender to any challenge of
it.
Isa
12:2
2 Behold,
God is my salvation; I will trust, and not be afraid: for the
Lord JEHOVAH is my strength and my song; he also is become my salvation.
Dear
Lord, today a sliver of bright sunlight warms the darkness of our ark. The
earth has changed and the storm, we trust, is over. We will go forth in hope
trusting the rhythm of your providence. Thank you, Lord, that the time of
blooming is again upon us. AMEN
