SMALL ACTS OF KINDNESS!

Matt 10:41-42

41 He that receiveth a prophet in the name of a prophet shall receive a prophet's reward; and he that receiveth a righteous man in the name of a righteous man shall receive a righteous man's reward.

42 And whosoever shall give to drink unto one of these little ones a cup of cold water only in the name of a disciple, verily I say unto you, he shall in no wise lose his reward.

           I officiated the funeral of a dear friend yesterday. Atop the flaming emotions was a 90-degree sun. It was exhausting. At the conclusion of the service the funeral director offered my wife and me a small bottle of ice-cold water. It was very life in a plastic bottle! God saw that.

           Small acts of kindness often go unnoticed even by those who are the recipients. Too often we take them from granted and feel that we are entitled more than others to kind deeds. If we indulge ourselves for too long, we become brutish and cruel. God sees that too.

Heb 4:13

13 Neither is there any creature that is not manifest in his sight: but all things are naked and opened unto the eyes of him with whom we have to do.

Dear Lord, let me show the kindness of Jesus to everyone today. AMEN
