TO EVERY CREATURE!
Mark 16:15
15 And he said unto them, Go ye into
all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature.
The word “creature”
is the hard-to-pronounce Greek word ktisis. It does not,
necessarily, distinguish humans from other living creatures but neither does it
suggest we preach to animals. The force of the word is to make
the gospel all-inclusive. No race or social strata should be ignored or
neglected.
Peter, in his second
epistle referred to the lost as “natural brute beasts.” He
characterized them in verse 10. “But chiefly them that walk after the flesh in
the lust of uncleanness, and despise government. Presumptuous are they,
selfwilled, they are not afraid to speak evil of dignities [they are
disrespectful].”
Churches in a
community seem to each have a personality. There are white collar churches,
blue collar churches, and no collar churches. Jesus set the limits of our
outreach in Luke 14:12-14 “Then said he also to him that bade
him, When thou makest a dinner or a supper, call not thy friends, nor thy
brethren, neither thy kinsmen, nor thy rich neighbours; lest they also bid thee
again, and a recompence be made thee. 13 But when thou makest a feast, call
the poor, the maimed, the lame, the blind: 14 And thou shalt be
blessed; for they cannot recompense thee: for thou shalt be recompensed at the
resurrection of the just.”
YOU are a target for rescue! God’s merciful spotlight is upon you. His plans for you are
good plans. Say yes to His gracious invitation today!
Rev 22:17
17 And the Spirit and the bride say,
Come. And let him that heareth say, Come. And let him that is athirst come. And
whosoever will, let him take the water of life freely.
Dear Lord, thank you for saving this
miserable creature and making me one of your blessed children. AMEN
