RELEASE MAY COME QUICKLY!
Acts
12:6-9
6 And when
Herod would have brought him forth, the same night Peter was sleeping between
two soldiers, bound with two chains: and the keepers before the door kept the
prison.
7 And,
behold, the angel of the Lord came upon him, and a light shined in the prison:
and he smote Peter on the side, and raised him up, saying, Arise up quickly.
And his chains fell off from his hands.
8 And the
angel said unto him, Gird thyself, and bind on thy sandals. And so he
did. And he saith unto him, Cast thy garment about thee, and follow me.
9 And he
went out, and followed him; and wist not that it was true which
was done by the angel; but thought he saw a vision.
Tormented sleep is often thought to be
characterized by tossing and turning but just as often it is deep, almost
drugged, sleep. The Apostle’s weary body and mind had shut down and the angel
had to literally shake him awake. The chains that bound him fell off and he
dressed himself sleepily. Suddenly he was outside the prison and the angel was
gone. It is not hard to understand that Peter “wist not that it was
true!”
If distress has worn you out, go ahead and rest! If suddenly God
heals the hurts, repairs the damage, and releases you from your prison, then
just follow sleepily on. Soon you will be standing outside your prison
wondering what just happened.
As soon as you are safely away from your prison, take time to
laugh, cry, and praise the One who released you.

Cor 15:51-52
51 Behold, I
shew you a mystery; We shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed, 52 In
a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump: for the trumpet
shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed.
Marvelous
Lord, that which we thought would never come stuns us when it finally does. We
are amazed at your power and your timing. Thank you Lord. AMEN
