And let the beauty of the Lord our God
be upon us: and establish thou the work of our hands upon us; yea, the work of
our hands establish thou it.
American
women
spend approximately eight dollars per day on beauty products! That is $2,920
dollars per year. Beauty is a big deal and big business. Men are not exempt
from the value of vanity either. Men's
grooming is now a multi-billion dollar
worldwide industry.
God loves
beauty!
All one has to do is take a look around and see that nature was designed with
beauty and efficiency. But God desires beauty that emanates from the inside. I
expect much can be achieved with simple soap and water.
The
Apostle Peter
suggested that the ladies he was writing to focus on internal beauty. Men
should pay heed as well.
1 Peter 3:3-4
3 Whose adorning
let it not be that outward adorning of plaiting the hair, and of wearing of
gold, or of putting on of apparel;
4 But let
it be the hidden man of the heart, in that which is not corruptible,
even the ornament of a meek and quiet spirit, which is in the sight of God of
great price.
Let the
beauty of the Lord, our God, be upon us. Let our light shine from within. AMEN
