SOMETHING TO PRAY ABOUT
Acts 12:1-5
12 Now about that time Herod the king stretched forth his hands to vex
certain of the church.
2 And he killed James the brother of John with the sword.
3 And because he saw it pleased the Jews, he proceeded further to
take Peter also. (Then were the days of unleavened bread.)
4 And when he had apprehended him, he put him in prison, and delivered
him to four quaternions of soldiers [sixteen, or four companies of
four men each]to keep him; intending after Easter to bring him forth to
the people.
5 Peter therefore was kept in prison: but prayer was made without
ceasing of the church unto God for him.
I have a friend who messaged me to
say that God had laid me heavily upon his heart! He could not have known the things
that were happening in my life, but the Holy Spirit knew and stirred him to
pray.
I am thankful to have friends who
are so connected to the Lord that God can trust them to be enlisted as prayer
warriors. Believers benefit from adoption into a global family of the redeemed.
The “everywhere at once” Holy Spirit keeps us connected in a way that is
unbelievable to the unbelieving.
Are you enduring trials? Know that
God is very much aware of your situation. Are you troubled about a friend or acquaintance?
Know that God has enlisted you as a prayer warrior. Do not neglect that
troubling Spirit because it is the Holy Spirit. Pray! Pray without knowing what
you should pray for. Just pray!
Rom 8:26
26 Likewise the Spirit also helpeth our infirmities: for we know
not what we should pray for as we ought: but the Spirit itself maketh
intercession for us with groanings which cannot be uttered.
Blessed art Thou, O Lord, King of the Universe, for you keep your
family close to your heart and stand ready to deliver them. AMEN
