CAMO
CHRISTIANS!
Matt
5:14-16
14
Ye are the light of the world. A city that is set on
an hill cannot be hid.
15
Neither do men light a candle, and put it under a
bushel, but on a candlestick; and it giveth light unto all that are in the
house.
16
Let your light so shine before men, that they may
see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven.
1
Tim 5:25
25
Likewise also the good works of some are manifest
beforehand; and they that are otherwise cannot be hid.
Camouflage does not make one invisible
it only helps to make one indiscernible from his surroundings. Have you ever
wondered why Navy camouflage is blue? Christians today are almost indiscernible
from non-Christians. You have to look closely at their T-shirts or WWJD rubber
bracelets. Their deeds, attitudes, and opinions blend well with their
surroundings. Jesus addressed this even in His day and suggested that
Christians come out from under the basket.
Actually our deeds cannot be hid.
Good deeds brand us but so do contrary deeds. Since that is so, should we not
take off the camo and put on the robes provided by our Heavenly Father? Should
we not place our candle on a lamp stand so that they which enter in may see the
light?
Dear Lord, you have made me your child by your
grace. I am who I am because of you. Let me not hide by blending in with my
surroundings. AMEN
