IT’S NOT TOO LATE!
Jer 18:6-8
6 O house of
Israel, cannot I do with you as this potter? saith the Lord . Behold, as the
clay is in the potter's hand, so are ye in mine hand, O house of Israel. 7 At
what instant I shall speak concerning a nation, and concerning a
kingdom, to pluck up, and to pull down, and to destroy it;
8 If that
nation, against whom I have pronounced, turn from their evil, I
will repent of the evil that I thought to do unto them.
Like clay in the hands of the
potter,
if it be pliable, God may continue his intended way. However, if the clay be
obstinate, then the potter is forced either to discard the clay altogether or
to pound it into submission so that he might make of it something
other than was originally designed.
Our nation’s founding fathers well understood that our fledgling
nation would survive and thrive only so long as we maintained a
proper relationship with the Almighty. Now that we have become strong and
powerful, we have replaced Him with ourselves. His righteousness
has been supplanted by our wickedness and His glory with our shame. The once
mighty eagle is molting and is in a pitiful condition. God seems poised to
strike her down.
It is not too late for America – or
for you!
The Hebrew word for “instant” is rega’ (reh’-gah) and literally means
“a wink” of the eyes. So, God is ready to quickly respond to genuine repentance
either from nation or knave.
The political order cannot be renewed without theological virtues working upon
it.... It is from the church that we receive our fundamental
postulates of order, justice, and freedom, applying them to our civil society.

Dear Lord,
our nation has greatly offended you and when we understood it, we offended you
further. You have been more than patient
with us. Bring upon us national revival so that we may enjoy your blessing once
again. AMEN
