EXPUNGED
Rom 8:28-30
28 And we know
that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are
the called according to his purpose.
29 For whom he
did foreknow, he also did predestinate to be conformed to the image of his Son,
that he might be the firstborn among many brethren.
30 Moreover whom
he did predestinate, them he also called: and whom he called, them he also
justified: and whom he justified, them he also glorified.
KJV
The word “expunged” is a legal term.
It is a verb which means to “erase or remove completely something that is unwanted
or unpleasant.” Simply put, it erases a misdeed from your record. It can’t be
legally found. It is not there. It is as if it has never been there!
The word “justified” is translated
from the Greek dikaioo, which means “to
render or regard as innocent.” It too is a legal term with glorious
implications for the believer. It means that there is no record of our sin. Not
only has the blood of Jesus COVERED our many sins, but they have been EXPUNGED!
My sins are gone (author unknown)
You Ask Me Why
I’m Happy
So I’ll Just Tell
You Why,
Because My Sins
Are Gone;
And When I Meet
The Scoffers
Who Ask Me Where
They Are,
I Say, My Sins
Are Gone.
They’re
Underneath The Blood,
On The Cross Of
Calvary,
As Far Removed As
Darkness Is From Dawn;
In The Sea Of
God’s Forgetfulness,
That’s Good
Enough For Me,
Praise God, My
Sins Are Gone.
Thank you, Lord, for the cleansing blood. AMEN
