HAND CRAFTED!
Gen 1:24
24 And God said, Let the
earth bring forth the living creature after his kind, cattle, and creeping
thing, and beast of the earth after his kind: and it was so.
Gen 2:7
7 And the Lord God formed
man of the dust of the ground, and breathed into his
nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living soul.
Do you see
the difference in craftsmanship here? Other creatures were mass produced by the divine word,
which was no small task in itself, but man was hand crafted. The word “formed”
is the Hebrew word yatsar and means “to squeeze into shape!” The word “breathed” is
the word naphach which means “to inflate.”
God took special and personalized
care
in the creation and formation of man. The next time you are wondering if God cares
for you, just think about how you were crafted. The psalmist said: “Thine
eyes did see my substance, yet being unperfect; and in thy book all my members
were written, which in continuance were fashioned, when as yet there was none
of them.” Ps 139:16
God breathed
into our nostrils the breath of life. Our minds were inflated with His intellect and our souls
came into existence. Awakened, we knew our surroundings so well we could name
the animals. We knew ourselves and marveled at our own features. We knew God as
a newborn gazes knowingly and steadily at his mother. We studied the face of God
and memorized every feature. We were made for God!
1 Cor 6:19-20
19 What? know ye not that your body
is the temple of the Holy Ghost which is in you, which ye have of God, and ye
are not your own?
20 For ye are bought with a price:
therefore glorify God in your body, and in your spirit, which are God's.
Ps 139:14
14 I will praise thee; for I am
fearfully and wonderfully made: marvellous are thy works; and that my soul knoweth
right well.
All
Creatures of Our God and King
Let all things their Creator bless,
And worship Him in humbleness,
O praise Him! Alleluia!
Praise, praise the Father, praise the Son,
And praise the Spirit, Three in One!
Thank you, Father, for forming me and
filling me with yourself. Lead me as I try to fulfill your purpose for making
me. AMEN
