NIGHT
TERRORS!
Ps 91:4-5
4 He shall cover
thee with his feathers, and under his wings shalt thou trust: his truth shall
be thy shield and buckler.
5 Thou shalt not
be afraid for the terror by night; nor for the arrow that flieth by day.

ravel
in the days of the Psalmist was full of terror because it was unsafe to travel
without an armed guard. It is not much different in most major cities today.
Night is a time of treason, robbery and murder. Fear of the dark is woven into
the fabric of our thinking. What can’t be seen is doubly dangerous. The
luckless traveler would have perished without the aid of the Good Samaritan.

are usually mentally unreasonable scenarios and yet they are full of terror.
Once awake it often takes a period of time for reflection and analysis to put
them aside. Knowing that we are guarded about by God and His angels is a
wonderful comfort.
Ps 121:4
4 Behold, he that
keepeth Israel shall neither slumber nor sleep.
Dear
Lord, keep watch over me. Protect me from the terrors at night and the arrows
that flieth by day. AMEN
