THE
UNGRATEFUL CRY!
Eccl

He
that loveth silver shall not be satisfied with silver; nor he that loveth
abundance with increase: this is also vanity.
Eccl

All
the labour of man is for his mouth, and yet the appetite is not filled.
Rom

Because
that, when they knew God, they glorified him not as God, neither were thankful;
but became vain in their imaginations, and their foolish heart was darkened.
When
Jesus said
“Ye have the poor with you always.” (Mark 14:7), He was not commenting on
culture but on man’s basic nature. There are some who will always be poor
because of the decisions they make and because of the consequences of those
decisions. Those who know God but do not glorify Him will always endure the
harsh consequences of that mentality.
A
giver can never do enough for a taker! Our current culture of entitlement
breeds ingratitude and rude demands.
· Contributes
greatly to our nations' moral decadence and crumbling culture.
· Produces vain
imaginations and foolish hearts.
· Weakens our
spiritual, moral, mental, and ultimately, our physical health.
· Wars
against the permanent, eternal, spiritual things.
· Comprises part
of the reason for apostasy:
You can choose whether to be a
giver or a taker. Whichever choice you make, remember to be thankful.
Heb
13:5

Let
your conversation
(the way you live your life) be without covetousness; (absent of a
desire for unearned gain) and be content with such things as ye have:
for he hath said, I will never leave thee, nor forsake thee. (Always remember
that God is available.)
Dear
Lord, I have received so much from so many. Give me a thankful heart and let me
not be pouty or demanding. AMEN
