HARD TO CONVINCE!

Then began he to upbraid the cities wherein most of his mighty works were done, because they repented not: Woe unto thee, Chorazin! woe unto thee, Bethsaida! for if the mighty works, which were done in you, had been done in Tyre and Sidon, they would have repented long ago in sackcloth and ashes. But I say unto you, It shall be more tolerable for Tyre and Sidon at the day of judgment, than for you. (Matthew11:20-22 KJV)

The exact location of Chorazin is not known but it must have been near to Bethsaida. Jesus denounces their lack of response to the "mighty works" which He did in them. Miracles and healing should have convinced them not only of Jesus' true identity but there should have been more than enough to prompt belief. These cities were hard to convince.

I suspect that the proofs were sufficient but their stubbornness was more than equal to them. Stubbornness will fuel hell as much as any other sin! Next Jesus mentions that Tyre and Sidon received punishment -- and rightly so -- but that they did not have the benefit of all the wonders which were observed by stubborn Chorazin and Bethsaida.

What about you? Have you stubbornly refused to believe in spite of sufficient evidence? Think of all God has done to reveal Himself to you. Think of all the good things He has done for you. Won't you reconsider and abandon your stubbornness? Trust Him now!

Dear LordPlease forgive my stubbornness and help me to trust you more andmoreAMEN
