ALWAYS WITH KINDNESS!
Eph 4:30-32
30 And grieve not the holy Spirit of God, whereby ye are sealed unto the day of redemption.
31 Let all bitterness, and wrath, and anger, and clamour, and evil speaking, be put away from you, with all malice:
32 And be ye kind one to another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, even as God for Christ's sake hath forgiven you.
Eph 4:15-16
15 But speaking the truth in love, may grow up into him in all things, which is the head, even Christ:
16 From whom the whole body fitly joined together and compacted by that which every joint supplieth, according to the effectual working in the measure of every part, maketh increase of the body unto the edifying of itself in love.
It’s not our position but our disposition that makes us disagreeable. We are admonished to speak the truth and to do it in love. We are urged to be kind to one another as brothers and sisters in Christ at all times. We try but we are not always successful.
I am very proud of our church officers and men. They are spiritual men and mature. Often the decisions they must make are difficult but they make those decisions with firmness, grace, and kindness. The word “kind” is translated from the Greek “chrestos” which means “useful, easy and gracious.”
It behooves us to be forthright in many cases but we must remember that a part of the fruit of the Spirit is gentleness. We must not become mean-spirited and call it candor.
James 3:16-17
16 For where envying and strife is, there is confusion and every evil work.
17 But the wisdom that is from above is first pure, then peaceable, gentle, and easy to be intreated , full of mercy and good fruits, without partiality, and without hypocrisy.
Dear Lord, in all my dealings let me be kind. AMEN
