WITH A GRATEFUL HEART

 

Ps 140:12-13

12 I know that the LORD will maintain the cause of the afflicted, and the right of the poor.

13 Surely the righteous shall give thanks unto thy name: the upright shall dwell in thy presence.

 

          I often wake to a song. This morning it was an old youth chorus I learned as a teen. Whatever your family activities may be today, let these words play in your mind and let your soul smile.

 

Give thanks with a grateful heart

Give thanks to the Holy One

Give thanks because He’s given Jesus Christ, His Son

 

Give thanks with a grateful heart

Give thanks because He’s given Jesus Christ, His Son

 

And now let the weak say, “I am strong”

Let the poor say, “I am rich

Because of what the Lord has done for us”

Dear Lord, cheer the hearts of the lonely, fill the hands of the needy, calm the fears of the anxious, and let your people think thankful thoughts today. AMEN
