EMERGE!
Job
23:10
10
But he knoweth the way that I take: when he hath tried me, I shall
come forth as gold.
Job
answered his “friends” with the only answer he had at the time. He admitted
that he could not discern where God was, what He was doing, or why! But Job was
sure that he would emerge! The original word which is translated come forth
literally means “to escape or to get away.” That will be a golden day!
Here
in the South we often say: “Those people have been through it.” We seldom
need to specify what “it” is because the phrase indicates someone who has
endured multiple trials and troubles. They have gone through it and have
emerged. All too often we stare at them searching for some clue to their
endurance to help us to get through it in the future. We may not see a clue but
we often see dramatic changes.
Have
you recently been “through it?” Perhaps you are still in the midst of
“it.” Job would encourage you to keep walking and would tell you that, at some
point designated by God, you will emerge!
Ps
3:2-3
2
Many there be which say of my soul, There is no help for him in God. Selah.
3
But thou, O Lord , art a shield for me; my glory, and the lifter up of mine
head.
Dear
Lord, I have many dear friends who are going through it today. Help them to
emerge as gold. AMEN
