COMBATING
THOUGHT CONTROL!
Rom 12:2

And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing
of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and
perfect, will of God.
Rom 8:6-7

For to be carnally minded is death; but to be spiritually minded is life and
peace. 7 Because the carnal mind is enmity against God: for it is not subject
to the law of God, neither indeed can be.
Why
are we so angry?
Why is our collective spirits so unsettled? It is because we are being trained
to become a thoughtless mob! Every waking – and some sleeping – moments are
being programmed by some device. The sounds of a gentle wind or the soft
splashing of a nearby brook have been replaced with an electronic buzz.
We
loathe the quiet
but it is just that quiet we need. We are spirit beings encased in fleshly
hardware. One day that hardware will fall away but we will continue to be
spirit beings. It makes sense to do proper spirit maintenance.
Spend
less time with your devices and more time with your friends. I haven’t even
mentioned spending more time in prayer because that is foundational. Put down
your phone and have a real – eye to eye – conversation. It will amaze you.
Better yet, find a place of solitude and quiet and allow yourself to hear the
still small voice of God.
Dear
Lord, help me to eliminate the angry noise so that I may hear and enjoy your
voice. AMEN
