DIFFICULT CHOICES
Phil 4:6-7
6 Be careful for
nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let
your requests be made known unto God.
7 And the peace
of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds
through Christ Jesus. KJV
Prov 3:5-6
5 Trust in the
LORD with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding.
6 In all thy ways
acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths. KJV
I am one of those
over-thinkers. You know the kind. They weigh everything and then weigh it all again.
I think I might be there again, but the Bible is a wonderful tool for
decision-making.
Think through every
aspect of your decision. Go ahead and weigh the pros and cons of the decision
you are faced with. Who or what will suffer? What are the benefits? What are
the unknowns? What are the risks and are you willing to pay the price of
change?
What is it about your
current situation that has soured? Do you see it clearly? Did you have a part in
creating the problem? Yes, I know these are hard questions, but they must be
asked and answered.
Will God benefit or
be glorified, by your decision? Is
there something to be learned by this decision? We often identify unshakable urges to change as God’s
CALLING and sometimes dread and doubt are warnings. But at some point,
we must stop aiming and pull the trigger.
Dear Lord, life is full of changes. Give us clear directions for the
changes. AMEN
