HE GIVETH STRENGTH!

Isa 40:29-31

29 He giveth power to the faint; and to them that have no might he increaseth strength.

30 Even the youths shall faint and be weary, and the young men shall utterly fall:

31 But they that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint.

           Hurricane Harvey has done his best to destroy southern Texas. He has not and will not succeed! One of our firefighters, a paramedic, has just returned home from the Houston area where he engaged in water rescue operations. He is exhausted but he will bounce back. We will bounce back.

           Our God understands that our frame is weak and there are limits to our resources. Even young men grow weary but God promises power [vigor] and strength.

           Whatever has been draining your strength is no match for the God of heaven! Seek Him out! Rest in his presence! “To them that have no might he increases strength.”

Dear Lord, restore and refuel those who are weary today. AMEN
