ADJUSTING OUR LIFE TEMPLATE!

Isa 30:21

21 And thine ears shall hear a word behind thee, saying, This is the way, walk ye in it, when ye turn to the right hand, and when ye turn to the left.

           Once again the Hebrews had forgotten what God had done for them and turned to the feeble strength of Egypt to help fight the Assyrians. Isaiah’s advice was to remain true to the “template” or pattern God had set for them.

           What is your geographical template? Exactly where does God want you to be? God wanted Joseph in Egypt so he could rescue his family from famine. There was zero chance he would ever go there unless God arranged circumstances to make it happen. Along the way Joseph suffered LOSS. He lost his coat of many colors, his cordial relationship with his brothers, and his freedom. He almost lost his life! But he finally arrived in Egypt.

           What is your chronological template? Exactly when does God want you where he wants you? Timing is very important to God’s plan for your life. Queen Esther was born “for such a time as this.” Joseph spent two additional years in prison on trumped up charges because the time wasn’t right. At the appropriate time he was told to hurriedly shower, shave and dress for a meeting with the king.

           What is your attitudinal template? We are urged to give thanks in everything but do we? Of course not. We complain and scheme against the perfect plans of God. But, when Joseph finally revealed himself to his hateful brothers, he explained that it was God that brought him to Egypt. Joseph understood his life template.

Gen 50:20-21

20 But as for you, ye thought evil against me; but God meant it unto good, to bring to pass, as it is this day, to save much people alive.

21 Now therefore fear ye not: I will nourish you, and your little ones. And he comforted them, and spake kindly unto them.

Dear Lord, I want to be where, when, and how you want me. AMEN
