SAVE
NOW!
Ps
118:22-27
22
The stone which the builders refused is become the head stone of the corner.
23
This is the Lord 's doing; it is marvellous in our eyes.
24
This is the day which the Lord hath made; we will rejoice and be glad in
it.
25
Save now, I beseech thee, O Lord : O Lord, I beseech thee,
send now prosperity.
26
Blessed be he that cometh in the name of the Lord: we have blessed you out of
the house of the Lord.
27
God is the Lord, which hath shewed us light: bind the sacrifice with
cords, even unto the horns of the altar.
Matt
21:6-9
6
And the disciples went, and did as Jesus commanded them,
7
And brought the ass, and the colt, and put on them their clothes, and they set
him thereon.
8
And a very great multitude spread their garments in the way; others cut down
branches from the trees, and strawed them in the way.
9
And the multitudes that went before, and that followed, cried, saying, Hosanna
to the Son of David: Blessed is he that cometh in the name of the Lord;
Hosanna in the highest.
The
word “Hosanna” literally means “oh, save!” As Jesus rode into Jerusalem as
the King of Peace, the people cried out for salvation. Some cried out for
political change, no doubt, but there must have been some in the crowd who
understood that their souls needed saving. Cursed by the fall, they had ruined
their lives with poor choices and selfish concerns. They needed to be saved!
Caught
up in this impromptu coronation, Jerusalem still did not understand who
this man was (see Matthew 21:10). Some acknowledged Him as a Prophet and with
that honor they still failed to realize His full authority. So it is with us!
No matter how much we honor Him, He is always much more than we perceive Him to
be. Today is a day for praising Him, for crowning Him and for telling others
about Him.
Zech
9:9
9
Rejoice greatly, O daughter of Zion; shout, O daughter of Jerusalem: behold,
thy King cometh unto thee: he is just, and having salvation;
lowly, and riding upon an ass, and upon a colt the foal of an ass.
Dear
Lord, let me crown you king of my life today. Thank you for bringing salvation!
AMEN
