FEAR NOT

Gen_15:1  After these things the word of the LORD came unto Abram in a vision, saying, Fear not, Abram: I am thy shield, and thy exceeding great reward.

          Ah, Halloween, my least favorite “holiday.” Oh, I like candy well enough, but this day is dedicated to fear and that is not what the Bible is all about. In fact, in the KJV, there are 144 verses containing 331 instances of “fear not.”

Isa 41:10 Fear thou not; for I am with thee: be not dismayed; for I am thy God: I will strengthen thee; yea, I will help thee; yea, I will uphold thee with the right hand of my righteousness.

1John_4:18 There is no fear in love; but perfect love casteth out fear: because fear hath torment. He that feareth is not made perfect in love.

          Why “Fear Not” Matters. According to Scripture, “fear not” is not just a command but a revelation of God’s heart — He draws us near in love, not to terrify us, but to assure us of His protection and guidance. Greg Mauro's Blog

How firm a foundation verse 2

“Fear not, I am with thee, O be not dismayed,

For I am thy God, and will still give thee aid;

I’ll strengthen thee, help thee, and cause thee to stand,

Upheld by My righteous, omnipotent hand.”

Dear Lord, let my confidence in You be my exit from fear. AMEN
